I got to the end and I was 1 min away from ending when I started falling through the map and fastsaved out of instinct(because I fell through the map and got to the Wish Granter room at first). I played the first game and finished it (almost). I read Roadside Picnic, watched the STALKER movie, and then got in the series. Thing is I really enjoyed the story of this franchise. I have an important question that might seem disrespectful for STALKER fans. And if you don't want your hardcore merc mode ruined, do note that trading with some traders while in disguise makes them pay 3 times the normal amount for things, I made 1 mil with junk artefacts real quick exploiting this, which is fine for me only for the achievement, but I can see it ruining otherwise good hardcore runs. Oh and one more thing, the Merc trader in Outskirts is neutral to Loners and will sell amazing stuff as well, so I recommend checking it out. Don't get me wrong, I'm used to walking in Stalker, but if I can avoid doing it all the time I'll do it. As for movement, I kept that off as well simply for convenience, since walking through Rostok is far too boring. For disguises however, I only keep it weapon and armour related, as helmets are used by many factions and sometimes the reason you get spotted are real stupid with helmets. I personally am not a fan of hardcore mode, but I do keep it somewhat difficult. Dushman with BaS or ProVak pack has some incredible guns like Dushmans Saiga, ISG VSS and more, he has massive amount of guns. Dushman sells some of the rarest ammo for example, 12.7x55 and 23mm Shrapnel, 12.7 is only sold additionally be Petrenko, while the Merc trader in Outskirts is the only one to sell the PKM ammo outside of Spirit. The Merc ACE SEVA is also best SEVA apparently in terms of versatility.īut weapons wise, they are simply the best.
Merc Nosorog and Exo are on par with Duty and Military gear, better in some respects and worse in some. Merc weapons and armour are among the best.
